Salem Chamber of Commerce
Salem is located in North Central Arkansas on the east-west U.S. Highway 62/412. Salem is the county seat of Fulton County. Salem and Fulton County are a sportsman's paradise. Lake Norfork is less than 25 miles away, and offers water skiing, swimming, fishing, and boating opportunities. Fishing and canoeing are tops in the nearby South Fork River where you can fish leisurely and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Salem is also just a short drive to the White River and Spring River, which are also good for fishing, float trips, and great scenery. Wildlife abounds in the Salem and surrounding area with Deer Hunting and Turkey Hunting being very popular sports. Salem has a beautiful city park, which has a walking trail, picnic pavilions, children's play area, and a lake that is stocked with fish for the anglers.
The Salem Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is Monday, December 2nd at 6:00 p.m. Parade lineup begins at 5:30 at Preacher Row ball park. Beginning at 5 p.m. the Chamber will be selling hot dogs and chili dogs. Town and County will be serving free cookies, FNBC will be serving free hot chocolate, and Bank of Salem will be serving free cookies. Other non-profit organizations will be selling food and Christmas items. The Salem Chamber is also selling raffle tickets for a $250 Gift Card to be given away one week before Christmas. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Four His Praise will perform at the Gazebo on the Court Square at 5:30 and Santa will be set up in the Gazebo following the parade.
